Songhee is currently a post-baccalaureate pre-medical student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. After graduating from Stanford University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Earth Systems and a Minor in History, she was a U.S. Fulbright research scholar in Medellín, Colombia. There, she studied the impacts of the urban microclimate on the distributions of Aedes mosquitoes and mosquito-borne diseases, collaborating with the World Mosquito Program, the University of Antioquia, and the National Institute of Health of Colombia. She is passionate about utilizing planetary-scale data to improve human health on a local scale.
