Bii Diana CherotichDiana Bii is a postgraduate student at the University of Eldoret, Kenya. She is a graduate student with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies (Science) with a major in Environmental Biology and Health. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Environmental Health. She is a Planetary Health enthusiast, a member of the University of Eldoret Planetary Health Society and Planetary Health Eastern Africa Hub where she engages actively in Planetary Health activities. As a young professional, she has been involved in various activities such as the creation of awareness about Planetary Health and the need to protect environmental health in order to safeguard human health. She believes that adventure never disappoints and that notion fuels her spirit towards advocating for the protection of the environment. She loves volunteering and engaging in community service. She has been a volunteer assessor with the President’s Award Kenya. She enjoys hiking and camping since it enables her to interact with nature freely. This in turn helps her appreciate nature as it is and recognize the need to conserve nature and the urge to push for the sustainable use of environmental resources. She is passionate about advocating for the conservation of nature and promoting human interaction with the environment while minimizing probable degradation. As a Planetary Health Campus Ambassador, she would like to support the initiatives of Planetary Health that focus on making the world a more habitable place for both the current and future generations within her campus and beyond.
