Agan Leonard OwuorInstitution: University of Eldoret
Agan Leonard Owuor holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Biology and Health, and he is currently pursuing Masters of Science in Environmental Health at the University of Eldoret. He got involved in a research project on Microbial quality of well water in relation to pit latrine distance in the peri-urban community in Eldoret, Kenya. He chaired University of Eldoret Environmental Students Association (UEESA) during his undergraduate studies. He learnt about Planetary Health in 2019, whereby he got involved in the creation of University of Eldoret Planetary Health Society (UoEPHS) and also actively participated in Planetary Health activities. He also became a Wetlands Ambassador for Wetlands International Organization in 2020. As a 2021 Planetary Health Campus Ambassador, he looks forward to further involving his student community in Planetary Health activities, and participating in Planetary Health Eastern Africa hub and networking with the Planetary Health community worldwide.
