Tulsi Modi
Research and Knowledge Intern

Tulsi is a one of Planetary Health Alliance interns. She is currently enrolled in a Masters in Public Health program, with a concentration in Global Health, at the Keck School of Medicine at University of Southern California. Tulsi is focusing her efforts on the impact of climate change on human migration and globalization, specifically in developing countries.

Tulsi has a background in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Delaware and has provided nutrition-based healthcare to underserved populations including migrant farmworkers, non-English speaking immigrants, and low-income families.  As a daughter of South Asian immigrants, Tulsi understands the challenges of migration and empathizes with all those searching for a safer and better home.

In her spare time, Tulsi considers herself an explorer of places and food. Tulsi reached her goal to visit 30 countries before the age of 30 and in the coming year has planned a visit to the U.A.E., Qatar, Indonesia, Singapore, and India. Her personal goal for the next year is to learn 3 new dishes from other cultures.
