Nicholas Batambuze

Nicholas is a law student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Law at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. He has worked with a number of NGO’s on the topics of women’s rights and climate agriculture. In secondary school, he served as the president of an urban farming project that was designed to provide individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources to carry out agriculture in urban areas. Additionally, his love for justice and human rights has led him to work with NGO’s like Let Girls Lead, which works to ensure that young girls have equal rights in society. As a Planetary Health Ambassador, he believes that his determination, advocacy and public speaking skills shall be of great impact at Makerere University regarding climate change and environmental conservation. His hobbies include; debate, poetry, public speaking, bicycling riding, and more.
