Mahaa Ahmed

Mahaa M. Ahmed is a graduate student at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the department of Environmental Health. She graduated from Rowan University with degrees in biology and philosophy and religion studies. Her research experiences have revolved around global environmental health, focusing on children’s health in Bangladesh. Her interests include the presence of heavy metals, such as arsenic & lead, in drinking water as well as WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) interventions for prevention of enteric infections. She is currently pursuing a career in medicine and is an aspiring pediatric infectious disease specialist.
