Eliana is a sophomore Biology (pre-med) major in the Honors program at Providence College. She represents her class on the Student Congress as Class President and is the founder of the Doctors Without Borders Student Chapter at her college. She is also a research assistant in the school's oncology lab studying ovarian cancer. She has presented her work at the 2019 Experimental Biology Conference in Orlando, Florida and will present again at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in San Diego this spring. In her free time, Eliana enjoys painting and listening to music, but also loves spending time outside surfing, playing polo, and snowboarding. Her great love for science and nature has made her passionate about the relationship between human and environmental health. She hopes that through PHA, she can begin to make a difference in these areas of life.
