Aminat Olaitan Adebayo was born and raised in Ibadan, Nigeria, and completed her secondary school at Wesley College of Science. Since childhood she has always been curious, which helped her discover what her passions were. She initially intended on studying medicine or pharmacology, but eventually found herself studying agricultural extension and rural development. She discovered where her passion truly lay when she attended a class on how we treat climate change and global warming, and how it affects human lives. This course sparked an interest in Planetary Health, and she aspires to one day have a career in the PH field. She also enjoys volunteering, and loves giving back to society in any way that she can.
